Pay Business Rates

About Business Rate Instalments

Your business rates are billed as a single amount for a financial year, and you have the right to pay that amount in 10 monthly instalments as long as you pay them regularly and on time.

You lose your right to pay your bill in instalments if you:

  • Fail to pay any monthly instalment after a reminder notice
  • Fail to pay a monthly instalment in time more than once in a financial year.

Losing your right to pay in instalments means you will be sent a notice giving you seven days to pay the remaining balance of your account for the whole year.
