The National Planning Policy Framework states (paragraph 47) that local planning authorities should identify and update annually a supply of specific deliverable sites sufficient to provide five years worth of housing against their housing requirements. It further requires an additional buffer of 5% to ensure choice and competition or a 20% buffer where there is a record of persistent under delivery.

The latest five year housing land supply (5YHLS) paper was produced in April 2017. This latest report presents the housing land supply position of Bromsgrove District at 1st April 2017 and concerns the 5 year period until 31st March 2022.

As at 1st April 2017, the district can demonstrate a 4.57 year supply of deliverable land for housing.
