There’s just under a week left to apply for a grant from the Equality Small Grants Scheme.

All voluntary, charitable, and community Bromsgrove based organisations are invited to see if they might be eligible for a grant of up to £1,000 to support their projects.

The Equality Small Grants Scheme from Bromsgrove District Council aims to support local organisations in delivering projects and activities which benefit the community: challenging inequality, advancing equality, and/or celebrating diversity.

The Policy Team at Bromsgrove District Council said: “With just under a week to go until applications close for this year’s Equality Small Grants Scheme, we are encouraging all local organisations to look at the eligibility criteria of the scheme to see if they have a project that could benefit from the funding.”

Applications for the scheme close at midday on the 9th of April 2024, with projects needing to be delivered before the 31st of March 2025.

The team added: “This is the fifth year that the Equality Small Grants Scheme has run, in previous years we’ve seen projects that have helped support older people, young people, men, women, people with a disability, members of the LGBT community, and different race and religious groups. We look forward to seeing the ideas for projects which are submitted this year.”

This year there is a total budget of £10,000. The scheme is designed specifically to support smaller organisations in the District to make their projects reality.
