Charity dinner dance to raise funds

Tickets for Bromsgrove District’s premier civic charity dinner are now on sale to raise funds for a good local cause.

The menu for this year’s Civic Charity Dinner Dance, at the Dodford Inn in October, includes a mouthwatering three course meal with drinks, charity auction and raffle, DJ, and more.

It’s in support of the local branch of Age UK, the chosen civic charity of event host and Chairman of Bromsgrove District Council, Cllr Sam Ammar.

Cllr Ammar said: “The dinner dance is one of the district’s top fundraising events and I look forward to welcoming our guests to a truly enjoyable evening of outstanding fresh food and drink, music and more at the award-winning Dodford Inn, who I’d like to thank for having us for these fundraising activities.

“It’s all raising money for my chosen charity, Age UK BRWF, whose work touches so many of our lives across the district. I hope you will join us for this good cause at what will be a special event at a beautiful family-owned venue.”

The event is on Friday October 18, with reception from 6.30pm and dinner served at 7pm.

Guests can choose from meal options including crispy duck salad and a selection of roasts all included in the ticket price of £50, with party tables for ten people available for £450. The dress code is semi-formal: black tie or lounge suit.

To book, for more details, or if you just want to make a donation to the fundraising event, contact Sharon Chaplin on s.chaplin@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk by September 30.
