Biodiversity net gain (BNG) is a way of creating and improving biodiversity by requiring development to have a positive impact (‘net gain’) on biodiversity.

From 6 December 2023, there will be a change in planning fees set by central Government

These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987, revoking Parts A and D and creating new use classes in relation to England.

The Regulations come into force on 1 August 2020 with the exception of Regulation 20 and 21 which came into force on 25 June 2020

From Thursday 25 April 2024, changes to enforcement and lawful development certificate (LDC) matters come into effect as a result of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act (LURA).
