Church Hall Car Park Closed Temporarily

The All Saints Church Hall car park in Bromsgrove will be temporarily closed for two weeks later this month for essential improvement work and resurfacing.

The car park, accessed via Shenstone Close, will be completely closed from the 28th of October so that improvement works can begin.

The car park is in a poor state of repair and the surface is far passed the end of its design life.

The old surface will be broken off and removed before kerbs are put in. A new surface will then be laid before lines will be painted on.

The work, to be completed by the council’s contractors Kelbec, will be noisy and dusty. The planing of the old tarmac could result in small bits of the debris being thrown around.

Therefore, we ask that all car park users remove their cars from this area and the car park before the works begin on the 28th of October.

Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, Cllr. Sue Baxter, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this causes nearby residents, the works are part of an ongoing programme of improvement for parking facilities in the town.”

This work forms part of a bigger ongoing improvement project around the District.
