How your Council Tax is spent
Council Tax helps to pay for Council services provided by Bromsgrove District Council, Worcestershire County Council, West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner and Hereford and Worcestershire Fire & Rescue Service. The Council receives money from the Government and income from Business Rates, although this is not enough to cover the whole cost of Council services. The difference is made up by the Council Tax. The council and the other precepting authorities provide supporting financial information on council budgets and expenditure as part of the council tax demand. We also provide information for Parish Council’s where the precept they raise is more than £140,000 per year.
