Markets & street trading

Bromsgrove’s historic outdoor market is set to open on Tuesday 2nd June, in line with Government safety guidelines.

Initially open hours will see traders operating from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday with shoppers being urged to respect the 2m distancing guidelines.

Other measures include sanitising the stalls and tables and stall-holders carrying out Covid 19 risk assessments so they are allowed to trade.

The arrangements will be constantly reviewed.

Bromsgrove District Council Leader Karen May said: “Bromsgrove is historically a market town so I am delighted to see this important part of our heritage return.

“We will be issuing advice on how to safely shop – and sell – at the market but I urge residents and visitors to also do their part to keep each other safe.”
