Places are still available on fun free Easter holiday activity and food sessions across Bromsgrove District.

Holiday sessions that include a meal or food package and range from watersports and climbing to arts and crafts and mindfulness are taking place district wide, from a range of providers in partnership with Bromsgrove District and Worcestershire County councils.

There’s swimming, gym and climbing for ages 11-16, and swimming, multi sports and climbing for ages 5-10, at Bromsgrove Sports and Leisure Centre.

Multisport camps including rugby, football, rounders and foot golf are running at Bromsgrove Rugby Club.

There are family Easter egg hunts in Rubery, Hagley, Catshill, Bromsgrove, Lickey and Blackwell, Charford, and Wythall.

Mindfulness and wellbeing arts and crafts activity sessions are taking place in Tardebigge.

And there’s climbing, bellboating, archery, kayaking, crate stack, canoeing and more at Aztec Upton Warren.

The programme, which is supported by the Children's and Young Peoples Providers Group in Bromsgrove and has been put together by the Development Services and Community Safety teams at the district council with the Starting Well Partnership, was enabled by £22,000 from Worcestershire Children First’s Ready Steady Worcestershire programme.

Bromsgrove District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Cllr Michael Thomson, said: “There’s loads on under this Easter holiday programme of active fun. All the sessions are free thanks to the funding we’ve secured from Ready Steady Worcestershire and what’s more, they include a meal too – so why not take a look and see what’s near you?”
