New Tai Chi Classes Starting This Month in Bromsgrove

New Tai Chi classes are starting in Bromsgrove this month, open to all residents wishing to improve their health in a relaxed environment.

Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that requires concentration as you move through series of moves to create ‘The Form’, promoting mindfulness in participants.

The new classes will be starting at 1pm on Wednesday the 14th and at 9.45am on Thursday the 15th of February at the Bromsgrove Methodist Church.

Cabinet Member for Leisure, Culture and climate Change, Cllr. Steven Colella, said: “Tai Chi is a wonderfully inclusive form of exercise so I really welcome these new classes. Providing opportunities to be active at all abilities is important to creating an inclusive leisure offer in the town.”

Practicing Tai Chi has been proven to have a positive impact on both physical and mental wellbeing. The practice stresses the importance of focussing on your heart rate, posture, and breathing to promote increased body awareness.

Classes are £5 a week on a pay as you go basis and there is no need to book, you can just turn up.

Supported by Bromsgrove District Council, the classes will be delivered by Juanita Ochoa. A local independent fitness instructor who has over 15 years of experience delivering specialist health classes.
