Our Current Statement of Accounts
Bromsgrove District Council's financial year runs from April to March and following the end of each financial year it publishes an annual statement of accounts. The accounts are one of the means by which the Council demonstrates its stewardship of public money and they present the financial position of the Council as at 31 March each year. They are produced in the format stipulated by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) in accordance with best accounting practice.
Draft statement of accounts 2023/24
The Annual Review & Statement of Accounts 2023/24 have not yet been completed by the external auditors, Ernst & Young.
The Accounts and Audit (Amendment) Regulations 2024 provide that, for financial year 2023/24, the deadline to publish the financial accounts and statements was 28 February 2025. The Council met with the public inspection period for the unaudited Statement of Accounts 2023/24 of 17 January 2025 but could not meet with the deadline of 28 February 2025 due to a delay in the audit process following the previous auditors resigning.
The Council will publish a final set of accounts as soon as the audit is concluded, and the Audit Report issued.
The audit of accounts has also therefore not yet been concluded.
