Bromsgrove Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2024 – Documents for public inspection

The Council has made changes to the car parking order which governs the use of Council run off-street car parks in Bromsgrove. The previous order which was made in 2019 was out of date and has now been replaced by the Bromsgrove District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2024. The new order came into effect on 24th June 2024.

Changes include reducing the hours during which parking charges are applicable, making, removing parking fees for 0 to 30 minutes subject to display of a ticket and introducing free parking for holders of Blue Badges (subject to the display of a valid Blue Badge). Fees for other time bands are being increased by on average 25% and full details are included in the Notice of Proposals.

Under the relevant legislation the Council advertised the proposed changes in a local newspaper.

Now that the Order has been made, hard copies of the all the relevant documents including the final version of the Order are available to inspect in person at the Customer Service Centre, Bromsgrove District Council, Parkside, Market Street, Bromsgrove B61 8DA from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.

As stated in the Notice of Making, the Order came into effect on 24th June 2024. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
