Councils provide local services to people living or working in their areas.  It is an important role and we actively encourage people from all walks of life to take an interest in local democracy and to think about putting themselves forward for election.

Becoming a District Councillor

For prospective District Councillors, it may also be useful to you to download and read through the Councils Members Code of Conduct and the Councils Members Roles and Descriptions.

If you are successfully elected, you will need to attend a members induction.  These will be organised by committee services at Bromsgrove District Council.
