Mental Health and Wellbeing

Good mental health is not just the absence of a mental health disorder. It is defined as a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.

If you are struggling with your mental health and Wellbeing we would advise in the first instance to speak to your GP.  They can refer you to the correct NHS service for your needs.  Residents can self refer to Worcestershire Healthy Minds Service where further support can be offered.  Please see the  Healthy Minds website for more information.

If you are in mental health crisis, need urgent help and are not currently being supported by any mental health services, you can phone the mental health helpline for urgent advice on 01905 681 915 (24 hrs a day 365 days a year). Further information about urgent help can be found here

Other mental health crisis support can be found through the Worcestershire Safe Haven.  This is a telephone helpline which can be contacted on 01905 600400 any day of the week between 6pm and midnight.
