A series of fun, free, family friendly events kick off in Bromsgrove this weekend!

Starting with bandstand music in the park this Sunday 4th July, the talented Severn Arts Young Musicians and Bromsgrove Music Centre ensembles are coming together to perform live music for residents and visitors in Bromsgrove.

From then on, every Sunday between 2.30pm and 4.30pm until September 12, Sanders Park Bandstand will be alive with the sound of music with a variety of performers, including Jazz Alchemy, Royal Spa Brass, Brass Beats, and others.

On Sunday August 1, the Blue Bird Belles Duo (dubbed 'the best thing since The Andrews Sisters') will be gracing the bandstand with some 1940s and vintage vocal harmony tracks inspired by The Andrews Sisters. Later that month on August 29, performer Gary Slade will also be taking visitors back in time singing hits from the 50’s and 60’s.

Alongside the Bandstand events there will also be Wilson’s Carnival Fun Fair on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July. Unfortunately, the carnival is cancelled for 2021, but the fun fair is still going ahead.

There will also be free fun in the park on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 12-4pm throughout the school holidays. Circus Kaos Workshops will take place on 27th July and 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th August so that visitors of all ages can try their hand at circus fun with heaps of equipment, learning skills with the help of professional performer Steve Kaos. Professor Chandler’s Punch and Judy Show will run at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm on Thursday 5th and Thursday 26th August providing some classic fun for all, which never fails to delight. Come and see the Crocodile and old Mr Punch up to their usual tricks!

All of our events are COVID risk assessed, but visitors are asked to follow the hands, face, space guidelines and be respectful of other park users.

Please note, the event programme may be subject to change depending on Government COVID-19 Guidance. Outdoor performances are subject to change/cancellation due to adverse weather conditions.
