A ceremony to show support for the men and women of our armed forces, past and present is set to be held in Bromsgrove.

Organised by Bromsgrove District Council Chairman Rod Laight the Fly the Flag For Our Armed Forces event will particularly note the response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Cllr Laight said: “By Flying the Flag in our community, we are showing our support for the men and women of our Armed Forces, past and present, who continue to rise to the very difficult challenge of maintaining the defence of the realm.

“This year, our sailors, marines, soldiers, airmen and airwomen have been busy supporting the response to the Coronavirus pandemic and have continued to deploy on operations at home and abroad.”

The short ceremony will take place on Monday 20 June 2022 at 10am, Crown Green, Bromsgrove, near to Amphlett Hall and the War Memorial when the flag will be flown in the run up to Saturday 25 June which marks the 14th Armed Forces Day.
