As the Winter months draw in a third leaflet, which sets out help and support available to combat the cost of living crisis, has been launched.

Bromsgrove District Council continues to join forces with partners to produce the leaflet which signposts people to organisations which can offer specific help and advice on a host of issues.

These include managing money, housing benefits, energy efficiency solutions and this year, there’s a section on coping with Christmas and all the financial challenges it can bring.

Information on free events too, including the Christmas Countdown event this weekend and the lights trail at Sanders Park, is in the leaflet.

Council Leader Karen May said: “We want all of our residents to have access to the support and help available to them which is why we continue to team up with partners to ensure it is all in one place and leaflets are at hand for those less digitally minded.

“The leaflet proves to be popular and residents can be reassured that the advice and information is from trusted sources.

“As the season of goodwill edges closer we need to remember that Christmas can be challenging for some and I urge people to check on their more vulnerable neighbours, friends and relatives and signpost them to the help and support on offer in our District.”

Partners involved in the leaflet include bdht, libraries, Act on Energy, Age UK, BARN, NewStarts and Citizens Advice. Help offered by the Council including Council Tax support also features.

Leaflets are available from the Parkside and libraries. Visit Bromsgrove.gov.uk/costofliving for more information
