Chair For The Second Time

The Chair of Bromsgrove District Council was appointed last night with Cllr Sam Ammar wearing the chain for the second year in a row.

Age UK, the Bromsgrove Redditch and Wyre Forest branch, continues to be Cllr Ammar’s chosen charity.

At last night’s Annual Council meeting Cllr Bakul Kumar was also appointed as Vice-Chair, again for the second year running.

Cllr Ammar said: “This is an absolute honour and I thank my fellow councillors for putting their faith in me once again.

“I am looking forward to the year ahead, to continue to get out into our District and meet the people, businesses and organisations who help to make Bromsgrove such an exciting place to live.

“Supporting our local Age UK branch for another year is also a privilege and I look forward to planning exciting fundraising events over the next 12 months.”
