New Community Infrastructure Grants Available

New Community Infrastructure Grants, funded by the Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, are open for applications.

Bromsgrove District Council are making grants available of up to £30,000 to deliver improvements to community spaces in the district, including public buildings such as community centres and libraries as well as parks and gardens.

Applications are invited from any organisation with a legal status including local authorities, public sector organisations, community interest companies and registered charities. Unincorporated organisations are not eligible.

Assistant Director for Regeneration & Property, Rachel Egan, said: “These grants are great news for the local community in Bromsgrove as any extra funds towards the improvement of public buildings and spaces are a real help.

It is a competitive application process with applications closing on 16th May 2025. Funding is available from June 2025 and projects need to be completed by 30th September 2025.

There are two different types of grants available: a Public Buildings Grant and a Green or Blue Space Grant, with funding pots between £1,000 and £30,000.

Both type of grant must be for, the creation of new, or improvements to existing, public buildings or green/blue spaces. Any improvements must be designed to create a better public space and increase usage.

Green or blue space means any areas of plants or water within an urban area or public space, so this includes parks, public gardens, playing fields, children’s play areas, woods, and other natural areas.

Where a project relates to a leasehold property or site, there must be at least 3 years remaining on the lease.

Eligible organisations can apply for grant funding by completing the Community Infrastructure Grants application form which is requested by emailing ukspf@bromsgrovandredditch.gov.uk.

Completed forms are to be emailed back to the same email address once completed by 5:00pm Friday 16th May 2025.
