Small Grants Programme

ReNEW Small Grants

Do you have a NEW idea?

Are you proud of the place where you live and have a creative idea to bring redundant spaces into better use?

Do you have a story to tell?

Are you passionate about encouraging people to share their stories and shape their future?

Creative groups and individuals with ideas for bringing Redditch and Bromsgrove’s redundant and unusual spaces back to life, are invited to bid for small grants of up to £2,000.

The projects will be part of the ReNEW programme, run by the North-East Worcestershire Cultural Compact, a partnership of business, arts, heritage, environment, youth, and community groups.

ReNEW Small Grants Round One

Nine projects were awarded ReNEW small grants under round 1 of the new scheme which is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. A wide range of activities have been happening, to get local people involved in creative activities in a bid to rejuvenate unused or unloved spaces.

Projects include a touring exhibition to showcase the history of Bromsgrove’s button making trade, launched in the original factory building, yarn bombing, pop-up craft workshops, tree art and churchyard planting in Feckenham, decorating blank walls in Rubery Park, & decorative allotment fencing in Redditch. All will make a visible difference to a range of places across Redditch and Bromsgrove.

Apply for a ReNEW Small Grant Round Two!

Grants of £500 - £2000 are available, for creative activities for people aged 16 and over, targeting areas in Redditch Borough or Bromsgrove District. The deadline for applications is Monday 2 September.
