Business and Planning Bill 2020

The Business and Planning Bill received Royal Assent on 22 July 2020.

The Bill makes provision for the promotion of economic recovery and growth.

This includes provision for the extension of certain planning applications and the Additional Environmental Approval process.  Further details are here.

The Act also introduces a new route for developers to seek a temporary extension of construction working hours and sets out the considerations which the District Council must take into account in determining applications under this proposed new route. Further details are available here.
