Duty to Refer

Bromsgrove District Council  and Redditch Borough Council want to build and develop relationships and protocols with internal departments and  partner agencies and to directly support this have signed up to ALERT, an online tool that is designed to specifically meet the new Duty to Refer requirement.

If you would like to make a referral for someone who is homeless or at risk of homelessness please follow the link to the ALERT referral tool. The ALERT process is five easy steps:

  1. Visit the ALERT referral portal here
  2. Enter details of your agency
  3. Provide details of the household being referred
  4. Complete a consent to share declaration
  5. Submit

If you or someone you know is actually homeless and requires help in an emergency please contact the local authority where they have a local connection.
