A brand new family fun day is coming to Bromsgrove’s Sanders Park to kick start the year’s summer events – this weekend!

There will be fun activities, games and sports for families to enjoy at the park on Saturday 4th May.

The fun day is the brainchild of the Bromsgrove Youth Hub who are working in partnership with officers from Bromsgrove District Council to bring the event to life.

Attractions, activities, sports and games at the Hub Day will include: golf and tennis taster sessions, face painting, children’s activities, bouncy castle, glitter tattoos, biscuit decorating, craft and community stalls and more.

Plus visitors can see a Police Car and a Fire Engine up close and experience Community Safety displays and demonstrations from West Mercia Police and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.

The event will run from 11-3pm and is free to attend.

Louise Hall, Community Capacity Builder, said: “We are very excited that we could join forces with The Hub’s youth council to put on this family fun day. There will be something for all ages and it will be a great way to keep the whole family entertained for a day over the bank holiday weekend. So why not kick start your summer with some fun activities, games and sports?”

Youth Council representative, 12 year old Ellie, said: “It’s going to be a really good event. It’s good that people have listened to us and helped us to make it happen.”

There is free car parking at the event.

The Bromsgrove Youth Hub runs Mon – Fri from 3pm at New Road Baptist Church.
