“If you’re back in business, we’re here to help”, that’s the word from Bromsgrove District Council’s Business Waste Team.
With the green light from the PM this week for the reopening of restaurants, leisure services and other businesses from Monday (17th May), BDC Business Waste Services are sending out a reminder that they are here to help both existing and new customers.
As well as lending their staff to assist with essential household waste removal in 2020, during the pandemic the commercial service, run by Bromsgrove District Council, were also able to help over 200 of their own customers by suspending or reducing their service requirements so that they didn’t get charged unnecessarily during the covid crisis.
Now that businesses are reopening again, BDC Business Waste Team are excited to welcome back current and future customers across Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and the wider West Midlands. Any businesses who need help getting back to business as usual are encouraged to get in touch for a simple solution for removing their waste that means they can focus on the things most important to them in the current climate.
Martin Roche, Commercial Waste Executive Manager, said: “Whilst our customers were staying at home and doing their bit to help the country tackle Covid19, we made sure they didn’t need to worry about incurring a single charge for waste they weren’t making.
“We all make waste, and we all need someone to take it away but it’s not something we like to think about, and businesses are no different. Now that the easing of restrictions is fully underway, we want to remind businesses out there that we’re here to help you get back to business as usual.
“Signing up with us will mean you’re fulfilling your duty of care to dispose of your waste properly and it’s one less thing to worry about as you get back on your feet. You can just focus on the more important and exciting parts of reopening.”
All waste-producing businesses in the UK must, as part of environmental good practice laws, complete what is known as the ‘duty of care’. Duty of Care notes details of where the waste has come from, and who it has been given to, to ensure that it is disposed of safely and legally by using an appropriately authorised company.
BDC Business Waste Services cater for a wide range of customers including, offices, sports grounds, other councils, small independent businesses, franchised chains, schools, charities, engineering and manufacturing organisations, schools and more.
As a local council service, they aim to provide customers with value for money whilst recognising that their roots are forged in the communities they serve.
