Bromsgrove will be filled with the sounds of saxophones later this month as the next Welcome Back activity takes place.

Bromsgrove’s first “Jazz around Town” festival will be bringing live music to several venues in the town centre and surrounding areas over the weekend of 26-28 November.

Jazz around Town will kick off at 8pm on Friday 26th November with Saximised playing at The Dry Spy Bar (12 St. John Street, Bromsgrove, Worcs. B61 8QY).

An incredible range of musicians, including Seanne Yarded, Joe Masterson Trio and The Lady and The Sax will be performing at venues such as The Ewe and Lamb, Bayleys of Bromsgrove, and No.3A, with more venues and performers signing up to be part of the festival each day. Keep an eye on the council’s website for the most up to date programme.

Council Leader and Portfolio Holder for Economic Regeneration, Cllr Karen May, said: “The launch event in October was excellent, and I can’t wait to see our residents enjoying the next instalment with Jazz around Town.

“It is so important that our residents benefit from the Welcome Back funds whether that is investing the money in street furniture, community clean-up projects or events like this one.

“Heading into Christmas, after a particularly tough 18 months for everyone, this is a prime opportunity to book a table at your local venue and let your hair down and relax with some fantastic music, food and drink!”

Jazz around Town follows the successful Welcome Back launch event in October, using cash from the Government’s Welcome Back Fund and under the ‘Your People, Your Places, Your Bromsgrove’ banner.

This event is the second in a series of projects which will run over the next six months as the Council and NWEDR work across the District’s centres to spend the money allocated by the Welcome Back Fund, which, as part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), is to support the safe return to high streets and help build back better from the pandemic.
