A landmark proposal to reshape local government in Worcestershire has been formally submitted to the Government, following approval by five local councils.

Hundreds of people turned out to celebrate the start of the festive season for Bromsgrove District Council’s Christmas Festive Fun.

Residents are invited to tell Bromsgrove District Council about the services which matter most to them as part of the budget setting process for the year ahead.

Last night a proposal to create a north unitary council to run services, where every community flourishes – alongside another for the south of Worcestershire – was agreed by Bromsgrove District councillors.

Rubery is set to shine later this month as the popular Christmas Lights Switch On returns.
