Ghouls just wanna have fun

It’s going to get ghoulish as Bromsgrove District Council raises the stakes at its free, family friendly “Haunted Halloween Light Trail”.

Those brave enough to turn up will explore themed Halloween zones including “The Witches Lair” and “Creepy Carnival”, with the number increasing this year from four to nine, with meet and greet roaming characters throughout.

The light trail itself includes magical illuminated paths, sparkling trees, and eerie ghostly projections that light up the night! As well as interactive craft workshops including pumpkin carving with Dragonfly Arts.

Held in Sanders Park, the trail takes place on Saturday 25th October as the park is transformed with projections, illuminations and of course, plenty of pumpkins!

There are many interactive photo opportunities throughout the trail, so residents are encouraged to dress up for the event in their scariest Halloween costumes.

Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Cllr. Bernard McEldowney said: “This is yet another brilliant annual community event, that residents love and take part in year after year!”

“It’s fantastic that we continue to be able to offer the event free to all, and we hope to see as many people attend as possible, costumes or not!”

The Sanders spooktacular starts at 4pm and runs through until 9pm. It’s parking for Blue Badge holders only at the Kidderminster Road entrance so please find alternative parking, use public transport or, if you are able, pop down on foot.

Alongside the trail, guests can enjoy delicious treats and drinks from the ‘Trick or Treat Street Food Court’, and little monsters can have some frightful fun at the children’s funfair!
