Microchips for Dogs Galore
Worcestershire Regulatory Services are hosting a series of free dog microchipping events in parks across the county.
It is a legal requirement to have your dog microchipped, but many don’t for a variety of reasons.
Worcestershire Regulatory Services’ Senior Dog Warden, Pip Singleton, said: “Reuniting lost dogs with their owners is always a joy, and having up to date microchips makes it so much easier to do. An opportunity to have your dog microchipped for free is certainly something to make use of.”
Over the summer months a number of free microchipping sessions are scheduled to take place across the county:
- Wednesday 9th July, Abbey Park, Pershore
- Thursday 17th July, Lido Park, Droitwich
- Wednesday 10th September, Crown Meadow, Evesham
- Thursday 18th September, Victoria Park, Malvern
Sessions will be running from 11.30am till 1.30pm in each of the locations. There is no need to prebook.
Pip added: “It’s also a good reminder to residents to make sure that any existing microchips their pets have are accurate and up to date.”
Microchips are being offered for free, in a no judgement no questions asked environment. It represents a great opportunity for residents to get this done to help reduce the risk of lost dogs not being reunited with owners.
