Rehab Sessions Start Soon for Residents

The latest round of free ESCAPE-pain rehab sessions for sufferers of arthritic pain are due to start next month across the district.

ESCAPE-pain is a group rehab program for people living with joint pain that uses education and coping strategies alongside exercise.

It helps you to understand your condition better, teaches you simple things you can help yourself with, and takes you through a progressive exercise program so that you can learn how to cope with the pain easier.

Starting in FEBRUARY 2025, the programme details are still in the pipework so dates, times and venue will be announced shortly.

Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Cllr Bernard McEldowney, said: “It is wonderful that we are able to put on these ESCAPE-pain sessions for people who suffer with arthritic pain and to hopefully provide them with new coping strategies to better deal with the pain itself!”

Anyone that wants to take part in these sessions should express their interest via the online form on our website (Escape Pain) or call 01527 881404.
