Arrangements for site inspections and notifications:

Following a relaxation in the CV-19 working practises announced by the Gov. on 19th July there are currently no restrictions with the inspection activity of North Worcestershire Building Control. Building surveyors are still working from remote locations rather than the office.

We are aware that the risk from CV-19 still exists and all surveyors are being asked to use common sense when attending site. Social distancing is still being employed and the wearing of face masks by both surveyors and people they meet on site is still encouraged.

You will have received your project specific inspection regime, which indicates the inspection stages that you should notify us of during construction. Please ensure that you notify us at commencement and when all other inspection stages have been reached. Whilst we accept that on rare occasions there is a place for the submission of photos instead of physical inspections, in line with Government guidance we do not consider photos should be used on a regular widespread basis.

Please continue to notify us of each inspection stage by email to this address, including a phone number so that we can make contact with you about the visit. Alternatively, surveyors direct contact mobile numbers are available on our contact us page as well as the paperwork issued to you as part of your application process.

You will be asked whether anyone at the site has been advised to self-isolate or has recently returned from overseas travel.

Please be aware that our office based support staff are very busy at present. Whilst requests for site visits received before 10:00am will be attended to the same day we can not guarantee to action any other requests or return any phone messages left with the office the same day. Please accept our apologies.
