Creativity at Home

It’s been great to see some of the creativity which people have been doing during lockdown and we’re delighted to be able to showcase some pieces  which people have sent us on this page. We’d love to see more creativity from Bromsgrove residents so please keep them coming.

If you’d like to share your creations with us, please send them to stewart.sanderson@bromsgroveandredditch.gov.uk, or use the #creativebromsgrove hashtag.

Rag Rug, sent in from Pamela

"My activity during lockdown has been a rag rug. I’ve always wanted to make one. My daughter bought me a kit for Christmas but it looked to daunting and impossible to complete. Then along came lockdown and I needed to fill time and be more active.

As well as Joe Wicks and a fitness hour and walking hour, I sat and learned from Internet how to start a rag rug. I had to cut up some of my old cloths and my granddaughter and neighbour gave me some. Then it all had to be cut into small finger size pieces.  I’m almost finished just a few gaps to fill and it will be done.

Everyone of my family thought it was an impossible and ambitious task. Well it was but I've stuck in there and enjoyed it so much. I’m pleased as punch with the results. Almost done and so proud of myself."

We think it looks fab – keep up the good work Pamela!
