Ways to pay

We offer a whole range of ways to pay your Council Tax, so you can choose the one that suits you best.

Payment Method Payment Description

Direct Debit

The easiest way to pay: set up or change a Direct Debit.

Standing Order

You can set up a standing order with your bank to send us a payment on the 1st of each month.

Make payments using sort code: 40-15-07 and account number 11260146.

You will also need your Council Tax account reference to set up a standing order.

Online

Make debit or credit card payments online.

You will need your Council Tax account reference to pay online.

You are able to make online payments anytime, 7 days a week.

Telephone

Press here to make debit or credit card payments by telephone.

Post Office

 

Pay by cash, debit card or cheque (up to £1000 per transaction) at any Post Office using the barcode on your bill.

Pay Point

 

 

Pay by cash (up to £200 per transaction) or card at any retail outlet displaying the PayPoint logo using the barcode on your bill.

Many retail outlets also accept debit card payments.

Change how you pay

The form below allows you to change how you pay your Direct Debit or Standing Order

You can choose to pay in either 10 or 12 instalments. Direct Debit instalments can be taken on the 1st, 15th, 21st or 28th of each month

This form can also be used if you need to update your bank details

Please be advised if you are making a change to your instalments, you will need to allow 14 days for this change to come into effect

To complete the form you will need your Council Tax account reference number that can be found on your Council Tax bill
