Playing pitch and sports facility improvement

Bromsgrove District Council is inviting local sports clubs and organisations to come to a special new open meeting where discussions will be shaped around the improvement of local playing pitches and sports facilities.

We will share information on opportunities clubs and organisations will be able to access where Local Authorities can't to enhance possible resources to improve and maintain facilities in the district.

Improvements are based on the Council's Playing Pitch and Built Facility strategies which can be seen here where sports clubs can significantly bolster their plans when they show how their plans would help meet officially identified needs.

We are now inviting expressions of interest from clubs ahead of a date to be confirmed in the new year so please submit an expression of interest here.

The strategies are based on independent, expert assessments of the quality, quantity, and accessibility of sports facilities in the area, in a process overseen by national sports governing bodies and endorsed by Sport England. The priorities they indicate are a formal consideration for authorities.

Ultimately, we want to help improve local facilities by pooling together resources where we can make it happen to support the clubs and organisations using them so, please join us for this open forum meeting.
