Bulky collections

If you have bulky household items like a bed base, mattress, 3-piece suite, fridge etc. that you no longer want, we can collect and dispose of them.

 

Prices start from £13.00 and will increase as you add more or larger items.  Here is a full list of items we will collect and the prices.

For large amounts or items not on our standard list ring us on 01527 881188 so we can confirm if we can take the items and the cost. 

Collections are made between 8am - 3pm, Monday to Friday (subject to availability). Please see below what day we are in your area:

  • We will not enter your property or garage to remove items

  • Ring us on 01527 881188 to book a bulky collection.
  • Have debit/credit card details ready, and access to your email account to complete the booking.  Without this we cannot make your booking. 
  • We will not take cash payments at your property; you will need to pay prior to collection.
  • Tell us what items you want collecting to be as detailed as possible (i.e. size, height, weight, can 2 people lift the item)
  • Tell us where the items will be left for collection (they need to be outside, we do not collect from inside houses or garages)
  • Make sure the item(s) are accessible i.e. no cars in the way blocking drive, no locked gates or high step and no hazardous materials in the way such as dog fouling

Once you've booked and paid, we will:

  • Confirm the day of collection
  • Give you a booking confirmation number

Once you have booked:

  • Items must be outside by 8am on the day of collection.
  • There are no refunds once the service has been booked.
  • One amendment per booking is allowed.
  • Any items not available on the day will not be collected.

Health & Safety

  • Glass/Mirrors need to either be wrapped and taped up or put in a box/container with a suitable cover with a clear note/sign advising of its contents.
  • Carpets need to be cut into 6ft x 6ft pieces.
  • Gripper rod must be removed from carpet.
  • If there are any Health and Safety concerns at the property on the day of collection we may refuse to collect i.e. access to items/steps, dog faeces etc.

You have a duty of care to ensure that your waste is passed to a registered waste carrier.

We are a registered waste carrier.

Never use unregistered waste carriers because if they take away your waste and then fly tip it, you are legally responsible.

Always check that a waste carrier is registered on the Environment Agency's public Waste Carriers and Brokers Register.

Always get a receipt in the form of a proper waste transfer note. This helps prove that that you've carried out your duty of care.
