Walking Tennis Sanders Park

Commencing at Sanders Park from January 2026
Every Monday | 10:00am – 11:00am

Walking Tennis is a friendly, inclusive and slower-paced version of tennis, designed to help people stay active, social and confident on court — at their own pace.

What can you expect from these sessions

  • Anyone can play – Walking Tennis is open to adults of all ages and abilities, whether you’re new to tennis, returning after a break, or simply looking for a gentler way to stay active
  • Play at your own pace – players walk rather than run, making the game safer, more accessible and enjoyable
  • Supportive group environment – sessions are social and welcoming, with plenty of opportunity to meet new people
  • Modified rules and equipment – you can let the ball bounce twice, play on adapted courts and use slower balls if needed
  • All equipment provided – rackets and balls are supplied, so there’s no need to bring anything other than comfortable clothing and trainers
  • Stay active and improve wellbeing – enjoy gentle exercise, fresh air and the mental health benefits of moving and connecting with others
  • Qualified coaching – sessions are led by an LTA Accredited Coach, offering guidance, encouragement and structure throughout

Walking Tennis is ideal for those who:

  • Are returning from injury or illness
  • Want a more accessible form of exercise
  • Prefer a slower pace of play
  • Are new to tennis and want to build confidence

Cost: £5 per session
